Iran recruiting Afghans to fight in Syria, and reporting the scheme to the Wall Street Journal

The longer I live in the US the less I am impressed with US media and the more I see similarities between methods of documentation in Saudi media and Western media.  Look at this: "Details of their recruitment efforts were posted this week on a blog focused on Afghan refugees in Iran and confirmed by the office of Grand Ayatollah Mohaghegh Kabuli, an Afghan religious leader in the Iranian holy city of Qom. A member of the IRGC also confirmed the details." So the key source is the blog.  I should start making up news stories on the blog maybe they become front page stories.  But how can the story not be true when it is confirmed by the authority of none other than "the office administrator of Ayatollah Kabuli, reached by telephone in Qom".  As is known, if something happens in Iran or in the Middle East, the office administrator of Kabuli knows about it.  But why would Iran need to recruit men from Afghanistan if they can have a supply from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria?
